WHO THE HELL DO WE THINK WE ARE?
Our lives are escaping us,
and any class discourse that fails to start from this is simply a lie...
In an excessive perspective of liberation there are no such things as superior forms of struggle.
Revolt needs everything:
papers and books,
arms and explosives,
reflection and swearing,
poison, daggers and arson.
The only interesting question is how to combine them.
- At Daggers Drawn
And with arm and heart,
word and pen,
dagger and gun,
irony and curse,
theft, poisoning and arson,
let us make war on society!
- Joseph Djacque
Beating Hearts Press is a small collective of people committed to distributing and publishing literature that confronts, questions and exposes the mega(death)machine of mass society, or points in any of the infinite directions we might take to have lives free from domination, domestication and senseless destruction.
For reasons not difficult to understand, it can be extremely difficult to find literature that begins to do any of these things via mainstream channels, and even when you can you are most likely handing over your cash to an entity engaged, somewhere down the line, in any number of noxious activities you would rather not be supporting.
For these reasons we have undertaken the task of making available green/anarchist propaganda of all shapes and sizes as far and wide as we can reach, and as cheap as our empty pockets will allow at least until we overthrow capitalism, smash patriarchy and end civilization as we know it.
Yes, we're anarchists selling things. No, we don't lose any sleep over that, because we're not doing this for profit (come take a look at our finances if you don't believe us!) - we're doing this for love. We're doing this because we believe in the power of the written word to inform and inspire. We're doing this because we believe in dangerous ideas and courageous action. We're doing this because we believe that if our efforts help one person to reaffirm what they already know in their heart, who passes the point of no return and decides to act, who finally says "Enough!" and goes out and strikes a blow of defiance against this monstrous machine - then this will all have been worth it.
